The Ohio Golf Course Owners Association is thrilled to announce that Club Caddie has stepped up as a Presenting Sponsor for the upcoming Ohio Golf Conference, held March 2nd and 3rd at the historic Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield.

In a recent sit-down, OGCOA’s Mike Hendrix spoke with Jason Albanese, Club Caddie’s Regional Sales Director, to discuss why this partnership is such a natural fit for Ohio’s golf community.

A Partner Who Speaks the Language

One of the standout advantages of the Club Caddie team is their deep roots in the industry. Jason Albanese isn’t just a sales director; he’s a former operator living right here in Northeast Ohio.

“I’d rather meet face-to-face than over Zoom,” Jason shared. “Anytime I can get face-to-face with operators, it’s so much better to learn who they are, what their goals are, and see the facility firsthand.”

This “operator-first” mentality starts at the top. Club Caddie’s CEO, Jason Pearsall, still operates a golf course outside of Detroit. When the team builds new features—like electronic tee sheets, point-of-sale systems, or member billing—they aren’t just coding; they are solving problems they face themselves every day.

Beyond the Software: Solving the “No-Show” Problem

At the conference, attendees will have a front-row seat to a high-powered panel moderated by TV personality and course operator Jimmy Hanlin.

Club Caddie CEO Jason Pearsall will be joining the panel to share his unique perspective. With a background in law, Pearsall has developed specialized strategies for helping courses win “chargeback” disputes and combat the financial drain of no-shows and short-shows.

“He knows what it’s like to have 12 people standing in line in front of him trying to check in at the same time… it helps us build efficiencies to make the software fast, but still handle the complexities of a golf course.”Jason Albanese

Why You Need to Be at Westbrook on March 3rd

The Ohio Golf Conference isn’t just about lectures; it’s about the community. It’s a space where operators using Club Caddie (and sister-company Jonas) can collaborate, share tips, and learn how to maximize their technology to save time and increase revenue.

Event Details:

  • March 2nd: Afternoon workshop with James Cronk.

  • March 3rd: Full-day conference (8:00 AM – 5:00 AM) featuring industry leaders and peer-to-peer panels.

  • Location: Westbrook Country Club, Mansfield (featuring the recently renovated Donald Ross course).

Note to Members: Every member course receives two free passes to the conference!

RSVP is Required

To ensure the chef at Westbrook has an accurate count for breakfast and lunch, all attendees must RSVP in advance.
